The land the people lived on
Tawatinaw is located roughly 100 kilometres north of Edmonton on the edge of Westlock County. The former town resides 50 m down in the valley along the Tawatinaw River. The valley is surrounded by trees making it a quiet and peaceful place to go for a hike. Its beauty remains as the snow starts to fall you can admire the valley from the ski hills many snowshoe trails. The views never get old.
