Travis Profile Picture

Travis Alexander Punko is a first-year student in the Multimedia Production program at Lethbridge College. Born in 2002, he grew up on his family's farm north of Westlock, AB cleaning equipment and moving grain. When he has time to himself, Travis enjoys skiing the slopes, playing games with his friends, and furthering his passion for cartography.

Besides the farm, Travis has worked for local businesses, supporting his community. Working for the local ski hill as an instructor and at the culture arts theatre as a technician. He worked for CATS for five years through high school, bringing plays, dance recitals, and music artists to his community.

Travis stands out, as he achieved honours through high school and his Platinum Award of Excellence through 11 years of 4-H. Because of his hard work, Travis has been awarded trips taking him to the coasts of Atlantic Canada and past the 60th Parallel into the Northwest Territories.

He has also traveled to other parts of Canada such as, British Columbia and Manitoba.

During the lockdown of 2020, Travis took up cartography. Drawing maps with only a pen and his imagination. His multiple sketchbooks are filled with maps of various sizes and styles, even making his own map journal exploring one of his worlds through maps.
